How your Ashes Cufflinks are made

The glassmaker uses a process called Lampwork to make each orb individually. She heats coloured glass rods around a mandrel to gradually build up the depth of each bead. The ashes are introduced in the second stage and when heated she is able to swirl them to create beautiful patterns in the glass. The glass orbs are then set onto the 925 Silver cufflinks.

Caring for your ashes to glass jewellery

Each glass orb is tested and can withstand an admirable amount of bashing and general wear and tear. We cannot guarantee it won’t break although the glassmaker does test them strenuously. As it is glass it might scratch over time but we think this adds to it’s unique charm.
