Whilst we understand that lots of people want to bury their loved one’s ashes in their garden it does make it difficult if you ever need to leave the property. Our garden memorials are specifically designed so that when you move they can come with you.

These pebbles would make a fabulous addition to any garden and can be a stunning central feature or sit more discreetly in amongst the plants and flowers, or maybe even a favourite sunning spot.

What size is the garden memorial?

The pebble has been designed to hold approximately 4 litres of ashes.

Length – 28cm Width – 24cm Depth – 18.5cm

Weight 8-12kg

Can I personalise my garden memorial?

Yes. You can add an inscription to your sculpture.

Keeping the ashes

Many people keep their loved one’s ashes at home, some because they are not sure what to do with them. Some because they are not yet ready to do something with them. And some simply want to keep them close by, in the house.

Sometimes, very well meaning, friends will give advice such as ‘it’s time to move on’ or ‘you’ll feel better if you scatter/bury them’. But only you will know how you feel with the loss of your loved one and only you will know when and if the time is right to do something else with the ashes.

Moving house

We are a nation of gardeners and lots of people love to place their beloved pet’s ashes in the garden.  The main downside to burying the ashes in the garden is that if you ever have to sell your house you will have to find and dig the ashes up or leave them behind. This can be stressful for all involved. But if you keep them inside an ornament in the garden you get the best of both worlds. If you do ever need to move home you can simply take them with you.

Discreet memorials

The other benefit of a memorial garden ornament is that it is completely discreet. This will give you more time to decide what you want to do as your feelings may change over time. Until then these urns can keep the ashes safely at home without you having to explain your reasons to anyone, if someone admires the keepsake it is up to you whether you tell them or not.

Can I keep my pet’s ashes in the garden?

The simple answer is yes.

You can keep their ashes in a garden pet urn or you can bury them in the ground. The major benefit of putting them in an urn is that:

  1. You don’t need permission
  2. They will be secure and dry
  3. You can take them with you if you have to move house
  4. They are discreet – only you will know what is inside
  5. They make a really special feature in your garden
  6. You can visit the spot as often as you want/need
  7. You can choose to make memorial jewellery or glassware at a later date.

How do I keep ashes in the garden?

We are a nation of gardeners and many pets would love to be placed to rest in the garden that they loved, nurtured and enjoyed.  The main downside to simply burying the ashes in the garden is that if the house ever has to be sold you will have to find and dig the ashes up or leave them behind. This can be stressful for all involved. By keeping the ashes inside an ornament in the garden not only do you get to put your beloved pet in the place that they loved, but if you do ever need to move home you can simply take them with you.

What if I change my mind?

The other benefit of a memorial garden ornament is that it is completely discreet. This will give you more time to decide what you want to do as your feelings may change over time. Until then these urns can keep the ashes safely at home without you having to explain your reasons to anyone, if someone admires the keepsake it is up to you whether you tell them or not.
