Keepsake Wooden Heart
This lovely keepsake wooden heart is a beautiful and discreet way to hold a small amount of your beloved pet’s ashes. It is carved in oak and has two heart halves, one half holds a small glass phial which will securely hold a small amount of ashes. The other half can hold a small memorable item and you can place a photograph over the top. The heart is held in place with a strong magnet.
Each wooden heart keepsake comes in a velvet pouch and a stylish presentation box which makes it a suitable sympathy gift.
Personalising your Heart
For a small additional cost we can engrave a message on your heart, a name is popular. This does a couple of days to your delivery but it will make your keepsake completely unique.
Keeping the ashes
Many people keep their beloved pet’s ashes at home, some because they are not sure what to do with them, some because they are not yet ready to do something with them and some simply want to keep them close by, in the house. Sometimes, very well meaning, friends will give advice such as ‘it’s time to move on’ or ‘you’ll feel better if you scatter/bury them’. But only you will know how you feel with the loss of your beloved pet and only you will know when and if the time is right to do something else with the ashes.
You can keep some of your pet’s ashes in this beautiful wooden heart keepsake so that you can reach out and touch them if you need to. They are smooth and very tactile and I find it really comforting to be able to pop mine in my pocket.
And after a time you may be glad that you still have some ashes, especially if you decide to have a piece of memorial jewellery made or a glass ornament. This little heart will keep them safe until then.
