Description
Ashes Pen
Ashes into pen. A unique, subtle and discreet keepsake. You can have a small amount of your pet’s ashes incorporated into a hand carved pen. This highly individual item is made by a skilled craftsman in Somerset, England.
You are able to choose from a range of options to suit your own individual requirements.
There are two distinct pen styles:
- a single piece twist action pen with a Parker type refill. The colour can be either silver or gunmetal
- a two part pen with a screw off cap. It can be either a rollerball with a cross type refill or fountain pen supplied with a refillable reservoir. The colour can be silver or gunmetal.
You can choose native woods selected for their beauty – Hornbeam (light), Holly Oak (medium) or Walnut (dark).
Or exotic woods – Myrtle (light), Bubinga (medium) and Ebony (dark) with imitation Ivory – these are slightly more expensive.
Alternatively if you have specific requirement – let us know and we will try to accommodate it, the craftsmen stocks many UK native and exotic woods. He has made a pen from a Jack Daniels Bourbon barrel. The ‘striped’ pen in the photo is made from plywood from a packing case dropped from the back of a Hercules in Afghanistan.
If you can’t see anything you like have a look at the wood database and we can always try and source it for you. There will be an additional charge for this service.
A small amount of the ashes is given to us which is then cast into a single ring of about 1/8” around the nib end or anywhere on the pen to your specification . Any remaining ash will be returned to you with your unique memorial pen.
Jon –
I just wanted to thank you for the help and service you provided. The pen is lovely. It can never replace my little Emika, however it will be a reminder of the short time we had together
