Horses into diamonds
Diamonds are made of carbon and both your horses ashes and their hair or mane are also rich in carbon and can be made into exquisite diamonds that can be incorporated into a completely discreet item of memorial jewellery such as a ring, earrings or broach.
Diamond Colours
There is a range of different colours (Canary Yellow, Blue, Mostly White, Almost White and Pink) and sizes (from 0.25 crt up to 2.00 crt, with 0.75 & 1.00 crt the most popular) and carats all with a slightly different cost and sometimes process. They are then cut, a ‘Brilliant’ cut of 58 facets is used.
How long will my diamond take to make?
Canary diamonds require 100 grams of ashes or 10-15 grams of hair and the process takes around 13-15 weeks, Blue’s use a different technical process and can take a lot longer, they require 200 grams of ashes or 25 grams of hair per carat. Prices start at around £3,500 for a 0.5 crt canary diamond.

Pet Bereavement
Karen Martin, the founder of My Pets Ashes, is a firm believer of celebrating the life of your pet, is a very important part of loving your pet.

Do you service in the United States? I am looking into cremating part of my old eventer to provide you enough ashes for the smallest canary diamond. His tail is riddled with melanomas, and his mane has grown very thin. Wanted to see if you can ship to US, and what you would recommend for ashes.
Hi Mary. thanks for getting in touch and I’m sorry to hear about your old eventer. We would need 500gs of their ashes in order to make a small canary diamond. We can arrange for ashes to be shipped from the USA. I will email you with the process and how it works. Karen
Hi
I will probably have to have my gorgeous homebred horse PTS before winter or during this winter as hes very bad Arthritis although still young.
Therefore I’m considering havi g a diamond made from him or part of him to keep close to me as he is so special.
Hes a big 16.3hh eventer slim build. Would you need all his ashes or would a tail & mane be sufficient as I’d like to bury him with his mum.
I’d be looking at a clear stone about 1 , 1.5 maybe 2 karat.
Please let me know rough price and how id go about it, when the time comes. Thanks
Hi Lesley
Artritis is such a cruel thing especially when he’s so young. It must be so tough and I’m so sorry.
You can make a really special diamond from either the ashes or the tail and mane, whatever is best for you. Prices start at around £3,000 for 1/2 carat in a canary yellow. We would arrange the collection and will keep you updated throughout the 12 week process before hand delivering your diamond (as long as you are UK based).
I’m always very happy to talk through and questions that you may have or just chat through options.
Do take care of yourself, this is such a challenging journey, we’re here if you need us.

Hi have recently had to have my horse Fern PTS and would like to use some of her ashes to be made into a diamond. I would like a clear diamond and would like to pay around £4000.
Kind regards
Lynda Watkinson
